BALTROP is a high-yielding grape variety, primarily intended for the production of black wine. The variety possesses a high degree of winter hardiness, high resistance to rot, and resistance to powdery mildew of 22–23%, which makes it suitable for growing in areas with a continental climate.

The variety has medium to medium-high vigor, with good resistance to frost and many other phytosanitary diseases. BALTROP shows high tolerance to red spider mite infestation on grapes, including ascochitosis, coffee rust, and brown rot.

The grape bunch is of an effective medium-prolate conical shape and varies in size. This variety allows the formation of good crops under the conditions of the driest and hottest periods before harvest.

BALTROP is suitable for planting in vineyards and is a good cultural addition for stable grape production with high quality through the use of bactericidal treatments.
