🌾 Open field day and workshop - Sortovi Semena 2002

On June 03, 2025, Sortovi Semena 2002 proudly hosted a special Open Field Day and Internal Meeting organized in partnership with Timac Agro Bulgaria, CarbonSafe and Saat Bau, presented by our long-standing and reliable partner LIDER CONSULTING Ltd.

The event, held in Pleven, Radishevo village, brought together many farmers from the region and the country. Our aim was to create a space for the exchange of practical experience, proven solutions and expertise in support of sustainable agricultural development.

🎯 Main focus

Against the background of growing economic and environmental challenges, our main task was to present balanced and above all cost-effective technologies based on:

1. high quality seeds
2. effective fertilization strategies

🔬 Highlights from the program

1. Timac Agro Bulgaria presented innovative approaches to plant nutrition aimed at maximizing yields and more efficient use of soil resources.
2. Saat Bau, through LIDER CONSULTING Ltd., introduced participants to high-yielding varieties and hybrids adapted to local conditions, as well as the latest breeding developments for resistance and productivity.
3. Cover crops were in focus as a key tool for:
4. improvement of soil structure
5. moisture retention
6. carbon capture and storage in soil
7. This is directly related to the growing importance of sustainable agriculture and participation in carbon farming programs.

1. CarbonSafe builds on the topic with practical examples and clear guidance on how farmers can generate additional income through green practices and participation in certified carbon credit schemes.
